Back to reality…. :) This was not a fun model to paint. The white edging on his armour was a real challenge. To make matters worse, the axe is in a horrible position, further impeding any painting. You might be wondering about his glowing eyes…..well me too! The model glowed right up until the dullcoat soaked him. Now, its nothing…just a blank stare. I didnt think dullcoat would opaque coat the eyes, but I don’t see the light. Hahaha what a pun. Neither does tartarus!

I love puns. I’m counting this bad boy as part of my tale of painters for the month. Now if I could finally finish that nightmare by the end of the month, I’d die a happy man….at the end of the month.

  1. nice work.

  2. The white edging must have been a bugger and a half, but (if this is any consolation) it looks smashing. I see a lot of Tartaruseses that are just walls of metal – this one knocks them out of the water.

  3. Thanks guys. This model ends up seeing a lot of playtime due to my current collection. There just aren’t many 4 point solo’s I would replace him with.
