Tale of Painters: Legion of Everblight
Whelp… here it is, a few days early to compensate for the few days late last month.. also they are a bit shiny due to the gloss coat i use before i dull coat them… dont know if i will dull coat them in this cold weather.. may wait till it gets warmer.. we’ll see.

The incubi look pretty bad ass. I would snap some separate shots of the incubi and the angelius for the gallery.
I never noticed this, but the armour plates on the nyss are the same colour as the beasts skin. Is it like that throughout your army? I thought the armour was dark brown like the chitinous plates of the beasts.

actually the armor is different than the skin, you’ll notice that better with the nephilum soldier.. I have two types of armor.. the dark brown heavy armor (carny, typhon, legionnaires, warmongers, striders) and the lighter less heavy stuff.. ( soldier, and incubi, also when i get swordsmen and archers) the light armor is the color of the belly scales of the beasts and the heavier is the back armor.. felt i needed some variety, it will make more sense when i finally get some swordsmen.

umbral umber base… then highlight up by adding bits of bootstrap and menoth base. shade down by adding black.
